Alberta Press Council

The mandate of the Alberta Press Council is:
1. the protection, preservation and promotion of the established freedoms of the press;
2. the encouragement of public awareness of the press and its role;
3. the promotion of excellence in journalism;
4. the facilitation of conflict resolution between the public and member newspapers;
5. the adjudication of complaints as per the Code of Practice.
