WebFest is an online journalism training opportunity for AWNA member publishers, editors, reporters, production and sales staff. Jointly designed and organized by AWNA and the Centre for Communication Studies at Mount Royal College, WebFest offers interactive seminars on website development, design, content development, content management and more.

The AWNA is dedicated to the business and content development of our member papers and their online news sites. The Internet is playing an increasingly important role in our businesses.

The Centre for Communication Studies at Mount Royal College is home to specialized degrees in Journalism, Information Design, and Public Relations, with faculty who have had substantial industry experience. Its state of the art facility and teaching expertise will provide AWNA members with an outstanding professional experience whether they are new to the web or have had some exposure.

Participants register through the AWNA office in Edmonton, and can choose to stay onsite in the college residences at an additional cost.

Registration: $100.00 plus GST. Fee includes workshops, opening reception and lunches.

You Must pick up permit and pay IN PERSON ONLY by VISA, MC or cash. Parking Office is in Room EA1016 (403-440-6914).
Directions: enter the main doors of the AE (East Arts Bldg.) and look for the parking counter. This building is on the east side of campus and visitors can park for 15 minutes right at the curb outside the east entrance.
